Regular Season Round 6: Slask 3 - Miedzychod 92-109

No shocking result in a game in Wroclaw where top-ranked Miedzychod (6-0) defeated 14th ranked Slask 3 (1-5) 109-92 on Saturday. Miedzychod made 23-of-28 free shots (82.1 percent) during the game. They also forced 20 Slask 3 turnovers and outrebounded them 45-30 including a 31-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Miedzychod especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 53.3 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Marcin Wrobel (200-1987) had a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!), 12 rebounds and 5 assists (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) to lead the charge for the winners and point guard Damian Szymczak (186-1995) chipped in 32 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Five Miedzychod players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was forward Kuba Pisla (197-2004) with 29 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals and point guard Jakub Pietowski (182-2005) scored 19 points and 5 rebounds. Slask 3's coach Jacek Krzykala rotated eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Miedzychod have an impressive six-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with 5 other teams. Loser Slask 3 dropped to the twelfth place with five games lost. They share the position with 10 other teams. Miedzychod will meet at home Koscian (#5) in the next round. Slask 3's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Wroclaw to the arena Gimbasket.
