EBL top team - WKS Slask (6-0) added another victory to their record on Saturday. This time they beat fourteenth ranked Twarde Pierniki (1-5) in Wroclaw 79-74. WKS Slask made 24-of-29 free shots (82.8 percent) during the game. WKS Slask had a 29-16 advantage in offensive rebounds. The former international power forward Aleksander Dziewa (205-1997) had a double-double by scoring 15 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and American point guard Jeremiah Martin (189-1996, college: Memphis) chipped in 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was American guard Sterling Gibbs (188-1993, college: UConn) with 20 points and the former international swingman Bartosz Diduszko (198-1987) scored 17 points and 7 rebounds. Twarde Pierniki at the other side keeps the fourteenth place with five games lost. They share the position with Astoria. WKS Slask are looking forward to face MKS DG (#12) in Dabrowa Gornicza in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Twarde Pierniki will play on the road against Legia in Warszawa and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
