There was an upset when higher ranked Tabirako (2-2) was defeated on the road by twelfth ranked Santurtzi (1-3) 79-62 on Saturday. Santurtzi dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Tabirako's 30. Santurtzi forced 19 Tabirako turnovers. The best player for the winners was swingman Xabier Vega (195-1993) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field).
