There was no surprise when 11th ranked Granada (1-4) was crushed on the road by seventh ranked Leon (3-2) 71-45 on Saturday. Leon forced 26 Granada turnovers. Dominican Cesarina Capellan (178-2003) stepped up and scored 24 points and 9 rebounds for the winners and Marina Fernandez-Pacheco (-2000) chipped in 10 points and 5 rebounds. Leon's coach felt very confident using 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Nigerian Benedicta Ummah responded with 8 points and 11 rebounds and naturalized Argentinian point guard Josefina Torruella (174-1999) scored 8 points and 6 rebounds. Leon moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 6 other teams. Granada lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the eleventh position with four games lost. They share it with 5 other teams.
