Valdarno's fans can finally celebrate the first win of their team after five consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat Lucca (1-5) 70-68. Australian guard Madeleine Garrick (180-1992) scored 20 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and swingman Elisabetta Tassinari (175-1994) chipped in 12 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was American guard Que Morrison (171, college: Georgia, agency: LBM Management) with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists and Dutch forward Kourtney Treffers (187-1994, agency: LBM Management) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds. Valdarno left bottom position moving up to eleventh place, which they share with Lucca and Brescia. It was Lucca's fourth loss in a row. Valdarno will play against higher ranked San Martino (#7) in San Martino di L in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
