10th ranked Latvian Daugavpils Universitate (1-5) was outscored at home by eighth ranked Lithuanian Aistes-LSMU (2-2) with the biggest margin this round 83-56 on Sunday night. Aistes-LSMU dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Daugavpils Universitate's 22. Aistes-LSMU forced 22 Daugavpils Universitate turnovers and outrebounded them 47-34 including 16 on the offensive glass. The best player for the winners was American guard Tyra Buss (172-1996, college: Indiana) who scored 27 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Point guard Gedvile Savostaite (180-2002) chipped in 9 points and 15 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Aistes-LSMU moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Siauliai and LCC Tarp. Daugavpils Universitate lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with five games lost. Aistes-LSMU will meet at home Riga/Juniores (#9) in the next round. Daugavpils Universitate will have a break next round.
