Regular Season Round 5: TalTech - Siauliai 97-82

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Estonian TalTech as it allowed them to take a leadership position. TalTech defeated 6th ranked Lithuanian Siauliai at home 97-82. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Siauliai. TalTech forced 28 Siauliai turnovers. They shot the lights out from three sinking 17 long-distance shots on high 54.8 percentage. TalTech looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists. Point guard Katlin Kangur (170-2006) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 13 assists and 4 steals for the winners and swingman Kristel Rattasepp (174-2005) chipped in 20 points and 5 steals. American guard Morgan Lenahan (180-1997, college: Midwestern St.) responded with 12 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists and Latvian forward Ruta Stipra (188-1994) scored 18 points and 7 rebounds. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Siauliai at the other side keeps the sixth place with two games lost. They share the position with Aistes-LSMU and LCC Tarp.. Siauliai will play next round against strong Neptunas trying to get back on the winning streak. TalTech will try to continue on its current victory against fifth ranked RSU in Riga.
