There was no surprise in Walbrzych where 7th ranked Gornik (3-3) was defeated by top-ranked HydroTruck (6-0) 78-65 on Sunday. The best player for the winners was American point guard Kaheem Ransom (186-1993, college: SHSU) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points, 11 rebounds and 8 assists. Filip Zegzula (188-1994) chipped in 9 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was center Szymon Walski (206-2000) who recorded 15 points and 7 rebounds and Mikolaj Stopierzynski (190-1994) added 14 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. HydroTruck have an impressive six-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Tychy. Loser Gornik keeps the seventh place with three games lost. They share the position with 3 other teams. HydroTruck will meet at home AZS PO (#15) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Gornik will play against Polonia (#16) in Bytom and hope to secure a win.
