Cactus defeated Batumi in Tbilisi 89-78. The game was mostly controlled by Cactus. Batumi managed to win second period 25-23. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Cactus won last quarter 30-21. They also forced 19 Batumi turnovers. American guard Ryan Allen (188-1998, college: Delaware) scored 20 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the former international guard Merab Bokolishvili (194-1992) chipped in 14 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. Four Cactus players scored in double figures. American guard Kyle Riddley (192-1996, college: Pfeiffer, agency: Project B Sports) responded with 21 points and 6 assists and international swingman Saba Lobjanidze (197-1993) scored 17 points and 8 rebounds. Batumi will play next round against Delta trying to get back on the winning streak. Cactus will try to continue on its current victory against TSU. It will be extra interesting game as TSU is their local rival from Tbilisi.
