There was no surprise in Tampere where 13th ranked Raholan P. (1-3) was edged by fourth ranked PeU-Basket (3-1) 70-68 on Sunday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Raholan P. won third quarter 20-19. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American point guard Tyrell Carroll (180, college: Angelo St.) fired 23 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Tommi Huolila (198) chipped in 9 points and 12 rebounds. Swingman Jesse Niemi (194-1990) produced 13 points and 9 rebounds and Veikko Niskanen (188-2002) added 18 points respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. PeU-Basket moved-up to second place, which they share with 4 other teams. Loser Raholan P. dropped to the twelfth position with three games lost. They share it with Korinokia and Team Pajulahti. PeU-Basket will meet Leppavaaran P. (#4) in the next round. Raholan P. will play against Karkkila (#15) and hope to win that game.
