H.Petah Tikva used a home court advantage and edged the opponent from Ramat Hasharon 66-65 on Monday night. Strangely Ramat H. outrebounded H.Petah Tikva 45-30 including 31 on the defensive glass. The game was also dominated by American players. It was a great evening for forward Mikayla Cowling (188-1996, college: California, agency: LBM Management) who led her team to a victory scoring 24 points and 8 rebounds. Guard Kenisha Bell (175-1994, college: Minnesota) helped adding 18 points and 8 rebounds. The best for the losing side was swingman Jazmine Jones (183-1996, college: Louisville) with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) and forward Alisia Jenkins (186-1994, college: S.Florida) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds. H.Petah Tikva will meet M.Ramat Gan (#4) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Ramat H. will play against Hertzliya (#5) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
