Regular Season Round 7: Ferrol - Cordoba 85-43

LF Challenge top team - Ferrol (7-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed thirteenth ranked Cordoba (2-5) 85-43. Ferrol forced 19 Cordoba turnovers and outrebounded them 38-27 including a 30-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a quality performance for swingman Irene Gari (185-1994, college: Georgia Tech) who led the winners and scored 18 points. Argentinian Andrea Boquete (183-1990) accounted for 6 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side. Four Ferrol players scored in double figures. Ferrol's coach Lino Lopez felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Ana Picos came up with 15 points and 5 rebounds and Serbian center Vladinka Erak (192-1984) added 6 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Cordoba in the defeat. Ferrol have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They maintain first place with 7-0 record. Cordoba lost third consecutive game.
