No shocking result in a game in Kolobrzeg where sixth ranked Kotwica (5-2) smashed 12th ranked Turow (2-5) 92-57 on Wednesday. Kotwica forced 20 Turow turnovers and outrebounded them 34-23 including 28 on the defensive glass. They shot the lights out from three sinking 19 long-distance shots on high 59.4 percentage. Kotwica looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Turow's players. It was a great evening for forward Lukasz Klawa (206-2001) who led his team to a victory scoring 16 points and 8 rebounds. Maciej Kucharek (205-1993, agency: Octagon Europe) helped adding 16 points. Four Kotwica players scored in double figures. Kotwica's coach Rafal Frank felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side swingman Szymon Pawlak (192-1998) responded with 13 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Krzysztof Wasowicz (183-1994) scored 8 points. The victory was the third consecutive win for Kotwica. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Starogard Gd. and Slask 2. Turow lost their third game in a row. They keep the twelfth position with five games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Kotwica will meet league's second-placed GKS in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Turow will play against Dziki (#3) and hope to secure a win.
