Regular Season Round 7: Czeladz - Tarn.Gory 75-90

There was no surprise when 10th ranked Czeladz (2-5) lost at home to eighth ranked Tarn.Gory (3-3) 90-75 on Wednesday. Tarn.Gory made 20-of-23 free shots (87.0 percent) during the game. It was an exceptional evening for forward Nikodem Kowalski (200-1995) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 12 rebounds (made all of his nine free throws !!!). Point guard Szymon Podgorski (181-1996) accounted for 17 points, 5 assists and 4 steals for the winning side. Forward Jonatan Najman (191-1991) came up with 15 points and 8 rebounds and guard Jakub Sciegienny (185-1999) added 16 points respectively for Czeladz in the defeat. Five Tarn.Gory and four Czeladz players scored in double figures. Czeladz's coach Krzysztof Walek rotated eleven players and allowed the starting five to rest. Tarn.Gory moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Bielsko-Biala and Radom Kolejarz. Loser Czeladz dropped to the eleventh position with five games lost. They share it with 6 other teams. Tarn.Gory will meet higher ranked UR Krakow (#5) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Czeladz will play against the league's second-placed Przemysl (#2) having rather not much hope for a victory.
