Regular Season Round 7: Komarno - Handlova 87-100

Another exciting game was between eighth ranked Handlova and 4th placed Komarno where Handlova (2-5) won against Komarno (3-4) on the road 100-87. Handlova made 21-of-25 charity shots (84.0 percent) during the game. Handlova outrebounded Komarno 40-27 including a 30-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Komarno was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of American swingman Elizjah Scott (198-1999, college: LMU) who helped to win the game recording 27 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. His fellow American import guard Keon Clergeot (185-1996, college: SE Louisiana, agency: GoEmpire Group) contributed with 25 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Five Handlova players scored in double figures. Serbian swingman Luka Gasic (195-1998) answered with 33 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds and the former international swingman Samuel Volarik (194-2000) added 22 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Komarno. Handlova moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Prievidza and Lucenec. Komarno at the other side keeps the fourth position with four games lost. They share it with Iskra Svit. Handlova will play against bottom-ranked Prievidza (#8) on the road in the next round. Komarno will play against Iskra Svit (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
