Regular Season Round 5: Asker - Ullern 82-75

Rather expected game when 5th ranked Ullern (2-3) was defeated on the road by third ranked Asker (4-3) 82-75 on Wednesday. Asker dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Ullern's 38. They outrebounded Ullern 46-29 including 18 on the offensive glass. The best player for the winners was American guard Tayler Bennett (172-1998, college: Academy of Art) who had a double-double by scoring 21 points, 11 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals. Her fellow American import forward Hannah Reynolds (193, college: Midwestern St.) chipped in 14 points and 7 rebounds. Bennett is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. The former international center Tori Halvorsen (183-1988, college: American) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds and Italian point guard Micol Torresani (160-1998) added 17 points, 5 assists and 4 steals respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Asker maintains third place with 4-3 record having just three points less than leader Ulriken. Loser Ullern keeps the fifth position with three games lost. Asker will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Ullern will play against the league's leader Ulriken (#1) and hope to secure a win.
