The biggest surprise of round 7 in Korisliiga was guest Tapiolan Honka's (4-3) road victory over Marsky Helsinki (#7) 76-69 on Friday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Marsky Helsinki. The guests trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 6-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 76-69. Tapiolan Honka looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Tapiolan Honka made 7 blocks. The former international center Elsa Lemmila (197-2005) fired a double-double by scoring 22 points, 11 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 blocks for the winners. American forward Madelynn Utti (181-1998, college: LBSU) chipped in a double-double by scoring 16 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists. Four Tapiolan Honka players scored in double figures. Tapiolan Honka's coach Niko Nyholm used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The former international guard Elina Aarnisalo (177-2005) produced 27 points and 4 assists and the former international guard Kati Ollilainen (173-2003) added 13 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side.
