Regular Season Round 8: Gravelines - Blois 70-86

Very expected game when 16th ranked Gravelines (1-8) was defeated at home by seventh ranked Blois (5-3) 86-70 on Friday. Blois forced 26 Gravelines turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was forward Halvine Dzellat-Diakeno (200-2004) who had a double-double by scoring 25 points and 13 rebounds. Maxime Sconard (195-2003) chipped in 25 points. Zati Loubaki (200-2004) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds and Roman Domon (203-2005) added 15 points and 5 rebounds (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!) respectively for the hosts. Four Gravelines players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Blois have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 4 other teams. Loser Gravelines keeps the sixteenth position with eight games lost. Blois will meet at home league's leader Cholet in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Gravelines will play against Pau-Lacq-Orthez (#6) and hope to win that game.
