Regular Season Round 4: M.Rehovot - E.Shomron 78-72

M.Rehovot's fans can celebrate the first win of their team after three consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat E.Shomron (1-3) 78-72 on Friday. The winners were led by American forward Derrick Woods (203-1997, college: St.Peter's) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 21 points and 12 rebounds and point guard Yevgeni Holodov (180-1996) supported him with 14 points. Four M.Rehovot players scored in double figures. Even 21 points and 6 rebounds by forward Yuval Levin (202-2003, agency: Avi Zilberman) did not help to save the game for E.Shomron. Point guard Eyal Shulman (192-1987, agency: Avi Zilberman) added 8 points and 8 assists for lost side. M.Rehovot left bottom position moving up to tenth place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated E.Shomron. M.Rehovot will meet higher ranked Maccabi Rishon (#4) in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. E.Shomron will play against M.Raanana (#7) and hope to win that game.
