Regular Season Round 9: Rueil - Rennes 79-95

Very expected game when 7th ranked Rueil (4-5) was defeated at home by first ranked Union Rennes (8-1) 95-79 on Friday. Union Rennes made 24-of-29 free shots (82.8 percent) during the game. Strangely Rueil outrebounded Union Rennes 37-23 including 27 on the defensive glass. Union Rennes looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Point guard Sebastien Cape (185-1993) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 assists for the winners and Guillaume Eyango (200-2002) chipped in 17 points and 6 assists. The best for the losing side was point guard Warren Racine (188-1995) with 17 points and 7 assists and the former international forward Jean-Frederic Morency (200-1989) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Union Rennes have an impressive series of eight victories in a row.
