Regular Season Round 8: Notec Inowr. - Pyra 94-84

There was a minor upset in Inowroclaw where 5th ranked Pyra (5-3) was defeated by eighth ranked Notec Inowr. (5-3) 94-84 on Saturday. Notec Inowr. forced 29 Pyra turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was Mikolaj Grod (194-1989) who scored 21 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals. Piotr Robak (194-1991) chipped in 27 points. Four Notec Inowr. players scored in double figures. Guard Marcin Flieger (185-1984) produced 46 points (!!!) and 9 rebounds and forward Roman Janczyk (196-1995) added 13 points respectively for the guests. Pyra's coach Tomasz Semmler rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Notec Inowr. have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 7 other teams including defeated Pyra. Notec Inowr. will meet SMS PZKosz (#7) in the next round. Pyra will play against LKS Lodz 2 and hope to secure a win.
