Regular Season Round 8: Katy Wroc. - Olesnica 74-77

The most exciting game of round 8 in the 2Liga took place in Katy Wroclawskie. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of 5th ranked Katy Wroc. (4-4) to eighth ranked Olesnica (4-4) 77-74 in the game for the seventh place. Worth to mention a great performance of Dawid Piasecki (190-1995) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 13 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists and 6 steals and forward Mateusz Gron (196-1982) who added 12 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Four Olesnica players scored in double figures. Power forward Tomasz Giniewski (195-1988) responded with 17 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Marcin Kowalski (175-1982) scored 9 points and 9 assists. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Olesnica moved-up to seventh place, which they share with 6 other teams including defeated Katy Wroc. Olesnica is looking forward to face higher ranked Zary (#4) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Katy Wroc. will play against Stal Ostrow 2 and is hoping to win this game.
