Regular Season Round 8: Ockelbo - Norrort 75-76

There was a surprise result when ninth ranked Norrort (3-2) edged on the road higher ranked Ockelbo (4-4) 76-75 on Saturday. Strangely Ockelbo outrebounded Norrort 47-30 including 36 on the defensive glass. The winners were led by guard David Niklasson (193-1995, college: N.Platte CC) who scored that evening 24 points and 5 assists and forward Kasper Adolfson (193-1995) supported him with 15 points and 10 rebounds. Even a double-double of 17 points and 15 rebounds by Canadian-Vincentian forward Opong Bramble (201-1997, college: CBU, agency: Helping Ballers) did not help to save the game for Ockelbo. Point guard Edvin Stark (183-1999) added 16 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Ockelbo's coach David Torrescusa tried various players' combinations and tested in total twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Norrort moved-up to seventh place. Ockelbo at the other side dropped to the sixth position with four games lost. Norrort will meet AIK Basket (#11) in the next round. Ockelbo will play against Eskilstuna (#10) and hope to secure a win.
