Regular Season Round 8: Slask 3 - Gorzow 72-64

There was a small surprise in Wroclaw where twelfth ranked Slask 3 (3-5) defeated 10th ranked Gorzow (3-5) 72-64 on Saturday. They outrebounded Gorzow 51-38 including 18 on the offensive glass. The best player for the winners was center Karol Kankowski (202-2005) who scored 20 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Point guard Daniel Soroka (195-2003) chipped in a double-double by scoring 13 points and 16 rebounds. Slask 3's coach Jacek Krzykala used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Point guard Konrad Jelski (183-1996) produced 19 points, 5 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals and center Norbert Grzegorczyk (197-2000) added 24 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the guests. Slask 3 moved-up to tenth place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Gorzow. Slask 3 will meet Sudety (#12) in the next round. Gorzow will play against Koscian and hope to secure a win.
