Regular Season Round 8: Isetia W-wa - Energa W-wa 70-80

Another interesting game was a derby match between two teams from Warszawa: Energa W-wa (#1) and Isetia W-wa (#7). Isetia W-wa was defeated at home 70-80 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. Energa W-wa players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. The winners were led by Karol Debski (198-1984) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 24 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Mateusz Gorka (190-1999) supported him with 18 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Even 7 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists by point guard Jan Grzelinski (180-1994, college: Canisius) did not help to save the game for Isetia W-wa. Forward Filip Muchinski (190-1998) added 17 points for the hosts. Energa W-wa maintains first position with 6-1 record, which they share with Pruszkow and Tarnovia. Isetia W-wa at the other side dropped to the sixth place with three games lost. They share the position with Bielsko-Biala. Energa W-wa will play against Lublin (#13) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Isetia W-wa will play against Ostrow Mazow. (#11) in Ostrow Mazowiecki and hopes to get back on the winning track.
