Regular Season Round 6: Lublin - Poznan 50-79

An interesting game took place in Lublin where higher ranked Lublin (3-3) was upset on its own court by tenth ranked Poznan (2-3) 79-50. Poznan dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to Lublin's 16. American forward Maya Dodson (191-1999, college: Notre Dame) notched a double-double by scoring 17 points and 13 rebounds to lead the effort and the other American import guard Alecia Sutton (173-1998, college: Texas) supported her with 17 points and 9 assists. Four Poznan players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 14 points and 12 rebounds by American power forward Natasha Mack (193-1997, college: OK State, agency: LBM Management) did not help to save the game for Lublin. Serbian point guard Aleksandra Stanacev (167-1994) added 16 points and 4 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Poznan moved-up to eighth place. Lublin at the other side dropped to the fifth position with three games lost. They share it with Wroclaw. Poznan will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Lublin will play on the road against Wroclaw (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
