Very expected game when Angers was crushed on the road by Bourges 79-51 on Saturday. Bourges made 20-of-23 free shots (87.0 percent) during the game. Bourges outrebounded Angers 48-28 including a 35-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was Laetitia Guapo (181-1995) who scored 21 points and 8 rebounds. Pauline Astier (178-2002) chipped in 13 points, 6 assists and 5 steals. Slovakian center Ivana Jakubcova (198-1994, college: USC) produced 10 points and power forward Kekelly Elenga (184-1991) added 8 points respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Bourges will meet Tarbes on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Angers will play against Hainaut and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
