Very expected game when 10th ranked Hapoel Beer Sheva (1-4) was defeated at home by fifth ranked Hapoel Holon (3-2) 101-94 on Saturday. Hapoel Holon made 21-of-26 free shots (80.8 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was American guard Erick Green (190-1991, college: Virginia Tech) who scored 28 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. His fellow American import Hayden Dalton (204-1996, college: Wyoming, agency: Slash Sports) chipped in 16 points and 5 assists. Four Hapoel Holon players scored in double figures. American forward Ben Moore (203-1995, college: SMU) produced 26 points and 6 rebounds and American-Nigerian guard David Efianayi (188-1995, college: Gardner-Webb) added 20 points and 6 assists respectively for the hosts. Hapoel Beer Sheva's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Defending champion moved-up to fourth place, which they share with H.Jerusalem. Loser Hapoel Beer Sheva keeps the tenth position with four games lost. They share it with E.Kiryat Ata and H.Eilat. Hapoel Holon will meet at home higher ranked Ironi Nes-Ziona (#3) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
