Regular Season Round 7: Gimle - Asker Aliens 91-77

BLNO top team - Gimle (11-1) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat eleventh ranked Asker Aliens (0-10) in Bergen 91-77. Gimle forced 20 Asker Aliens turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists comparing to just 4 passes made by Asker Aliens' players. It was a quality performance for the former international point guard Reidar Greve (184-2002) who led the winners and scored 25 points, 8 assists and 4 steals. The former international swingman Espen Fjaerestad (193-1994, college: UW-Parkside) accounted for 23 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side. Four Gimle players scored in double figures. American guard Joshua Hart (194-1990, college: Va Intermont) came up with 38 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds and French guard Tom Dumont (201-2000, college: Ryerson) added 19 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Asker Aliens in the defeat. Asker Aliens' coach rotated ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Gimle have a solid series of three victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 11-1 record. Asker Aliens at the other side still closes the standings with ten games lost. Gimle will play against league's second-placed Kongsberg at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Asker Aliens will play against the league's second-placed Kongsberg (#2) and hope to get finally their first victory.
