There was a small surprise when sixth ranked Hapoel Jerusalem (3-2) defeated on the road 4th placed Hapoel Haifa (2-2) 74-57 on Sunday. Hapoel Jerusalem dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Hapoel Haifa's 26. Americans were the main players on the court also this time. The best player for the winners was center Zachary Hankins (211-1996, college: Xavier) who had a double-double by scoring 12 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists. Swingman Levi Randolph (196-1992, college: Alabama, agency: Slash Sports) chipped in 18 points. Five Hapoel Jerusalem players scored in double figures. Guard Kadeem Allen (187-1993, college: Arizona) produced 17 points and 4 assists and swingman Jalen Jones (201-1993, college: Texas A&M) added 18 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Hapoel Jerusalem have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with H.Holon. Loser Hapoel Haifa dropped to the sixth position with two games lost. Hapoel Jerusalem will meet at home Galil Elion (#7) in the next round. Hapoel Haifa will play against E.Kiryat Ata and hope to secure a win.
