Everything could happen in Szczecin at the game between two tied teams. Both eighth ranked Wilki Morskie and 9th ranked Spojnia had identical 3-3 record. This time Wilki Morskie used a home court advantage and edged the opponent from Stargard 97-95 on Sunday night. Wilki Morskie shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 56.5 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Wilki Morskie made 9 blocks. It was a great evening for the former international guard Andrzej Mazurczak (188-1994, college: UW-Parkside) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 13 assists. American forward Tony Meier (204-1990, college: Milwaukee) helped adding 19 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). At the losing side American-Kosovan Shawn Jones (203-1992, college: MTSU) responded with a double-double by scoring 30 points and 10 rebounds (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field) and American point guard Courtney Fortson (180-1988, college: Arkansas) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 13 assists (made all of his seven free throws). Five Wilki Morskie and four Spojnia players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Wilki Morskie (4-3) moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Zastal and Legia. Loser Spojnia keeps the ninth position with four games lost. They share it with Start and Czarni. Wilki Morskie will meet at home Czarni (#9) in the next round. Spojnia will play against Asseco Arka and hope to secure a win.
