Not a big story in a game when 11th ranked AIK Basket (2-6) lost on the road to fourth ranked Trelleborg (5-1) 104-91 on Sunday. Trelleborg shot the lights out from three sinking 15 long-distance shots on high 60.0 percentage. The winners were led by Canadian forward Yannick Anzuluni (205-1987, college: Houghton) who scored that evening 25 points and 8 rebounds and forward Aleksander Mlodianovski (189-1998) supported him with 15 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Even a double-double of 14 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists by Turkish forward Cenk Sekeroglu (203-1991) did not help to save the game for AIK Basket. Naturalized Turkish Erkan Inan (195-1989) added 27 points and 5 assists for the guests. Five Trelleborg and four AIK Basket players scored in double figures. AIK Basket's coach Fred Drains rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Trelleborg have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 5-1 record. Loser AIK Basket keeps the eleventh place with six games lost. They share the position with Huddinge. Trelleborg will meet IK Eos (#5) in the next round. AIK Basket will play against Norrort (#7) and hope to secure a win.
