Regular Season Round 6: Borgomanero - Oleggio 85-79

There was a small surprise when fourteenth ranked Borgomanero (2-4) won against at home 11th ranked Oleggio (2-4) 85-79 on Sunday. The best player for the winners was Daniele Benzoni (194-1980) who scored 18 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists. Guard Alberto Fragonara (186-2004) chipped in 23 points. Borgomanero's coach Stefano Di Cerbo used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the other side the best for losing team was Tommaso Ingrosso (206-1992, college: W.Texas CC) who recorded 17 points and 8 rebounds and naturalized Swiss Olivier Giacomelli (198-1995) added 14 points and 12 rebounds respectively. Four Borgomanero and five Oleggio players scored in double figures. Borgomanero moved-up to tenth place, which they share with 11 other teams including defeated Oleggio. Oleggio lost third consecutive game. Borgomanero will meet Pavia (#12) on the road in the next round. Oleggio will play against Gallarate and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
