Rather predictable result when seventh ranked Treviglio (3-2) outscored on the road 11th ranked Trapani (1-4) 85-53 on Sunday. They outrebounded Trapani 44-25 including a 32-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Treviglio looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. The former international swingman Pierpaolo Marini (193-1993, agency: Players Group) scored 13 points and 7 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the former international Brian Sacchetti (200-1986, agency: SLN) chipped in 12 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. Five Treviglio players scored in double figures. Treviglio's coach Alessandro Finelli felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was American center Myles Carter (206-1997, college: Seattle) with 14 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Federico Massone (191-1998) scored 12 points, 5 assists and 4 steals. Treviglio moved-up to sixth place. Trapani lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth position with four games lost. They share it with Latina and Rieti Kienergia. Treviglio will meet at home higher ranked Milano Urania (#4) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Trapani will play against RO SAzzurra (#13) in Roma and hope to win that game.
