The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Virtus BO as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Virtus BO defeated 8th ranked Reggio Emilia in Bologna 79-65. American power forward Jordan Mickey (203-1994, college: LSU) scored 18 points and 5 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and French Isaia Cordinier (196-1996) chipped in 15 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was the former international guard Andrea Cinciarini (191-1986) with 6 points and 14 assists and American-Hungarian forward Mikael Hopkins (206-1993, college: Georgetown) scored 16 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Virtus BO (6-0) have an impressive six-game winning streak. As mentioned above they took over a top position. Reggio Emilia at the other side dropped to the ninth place with four games lost. They share the position with 5 other teams.
