Everything could happen in Walbrzych at the game between two tied teams. Both eighth ranked Gornik and 7th ranked Enea Basket had identical 4-3 record. This time Gornik used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Poznan 87-81 on Sunday night. Gornik looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The winners were led by point guard Damian Durski (184-1997) who scored that evening 19 points and 7 assists and the former international center Piotr Niedzwiedzki (211-1993) supported him with 16 points and 12 rebounds. Even 15 points and 7 rebounds by guard Marcin Dymala (187-1990) did not help to save the game for Enea Basket. Power forward Wojciech Fras (202-1991) added 13 points and 7 rebounds for the guests. Four Gornik and five Enea Basket players scored in double figures. Enea Basket's coach tested ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Gornik (5-3) moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Slask 2. Newly promoted Enea Basket dropped to the eighth position with four games lost. They share it with Krosno and Koszalin. Gornik will meet WKK (#11) in the next round where they are favorite. Enea Basket will play against AZS PO and hope to secure a win.
