Regular Season Round 2: BLMA - Tarbes 87-72

BLMA defeated Tarbes in Montpellier 87-72. BLMA dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Tarbes' 34. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 33 assists comparing to just 16 passes made by Tarbes' players. American forward Haley Peters (190-1992, college: Duke) scored 16 points and 6 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Belgian center Kyara Linskens (193-1996, agency: LBM Management) chipped in 17 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) during the contest. Five BLMA players scored in double figures. BLMA's coach Valery Demory used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The former international forward Marie-Paule Foppossi (185-1998, college: URI) responded with 16 points and forward Yohana Ewodo (183-2001) scored 13 points. Tarbes will play next round against strong Bourges trying to get back on the winning streak. BLMA will try to continue on its current victory against Toulouse on the road.
