Regular Season Round 5: IDK Eustotren - Jairis 84-73

Everything went according to plan when fifth ranked IDK Eustotren (4-2) defeated 12th ranked Jairis (2-4) in San Sebastian 84-73 on Sunday. IDK Eustotren shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 66.7 percentage. American forward Joy Adams (180-1993, college: Iona) nailed a double-double by scoring 25 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side and Mali center Mariam Coulibaly (192-1997, agency: Areus Sports) accounted for 18 points and 6 rebounds. Four IDK Eustotren players scored in double figures. Brazilian center Erika De Souza (197-1982) came up with 23 points and 7 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) and American guard Lashann Higgs (175-1995, college: Texas) added 23 points respectively for Jairis in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. IDK Eustotren have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Avenida. Jairis lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the twelfth position with four games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. IDK Eustotren will meet Valencia (#9) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Jairis will play against Tenerife and hope to secure a win.
