The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Ragusa as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Ragusa smashed 9th ranked Orka in Dubrovnik 102-47. Ragusa dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Orka's 30. Ragusa forced 32 Orka turnovers and outrebounded them 50-25 including a 20-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Orka's players. The best player for the winners was the former international forward Iva Todoric (174-1993) who had a double-double by scoring 26 points, 11 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 steals. The former international guard Lina Strilic (174-2003) chipped in 20 points, 6 assists and 4 steals. Four Ragusa players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Nika Matekovic (174-2003) who recorded 12 points and guard Matea Ercegovac (168-2003) added 4 points and 4 assists respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Ragusa (6-0) have an impressive six-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Zagreb. Orka lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the ninth place with five games lost. They share the position with FSV Rijeka. Orka will play next round against KAZL Split trying to get back on the winning streak. Ragusa will try to continue on its current victory against seventh ranked Pula on the road.
