Regular Season Round 4: ASA Jerusalem - E.Holon 66-86
Date: November 7, 2022
E.Holon's fans can celebrate the first win of their team after three consecutive losses. The victory is especially important as it came on the road game in Jerusalem, where they outplayed ASA Jerusalem (1-2) 86-66 on Monday. E.Holon dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to ASA Jerusalem's 36. E.Holon forced 19 ASA Jerusalem turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by ASA Jerusalem's players. The winners were led by American-Bosnian forward Courtney Hurt (185-1990, college: VCU) who scored that evening 21 points and 9 rebounds and American swingman Alex Harden (180-1993, college: Wichita St.) supported her with 12 points, 12 assists and 4 steals. Four E.Holon players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 23 points and 15 rebounds by American center Danielle Adams (185-1989, college: Texas A&M) did not help to save the game for ASA Jerusalem. Her fellow American import guard Taylor Wurtz (183-1990, college: Wisconsin) added 24 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Despite that victory E.Holon went down to fifth position due to points difference, which they share with Hertzliya. Loser ASA Jerusalem dropped to the sixth place with two games lost. They share the position with H.Petah Tikva and M.Haifa. E.Holon will meet at home league's second-placed M.Ashdod in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. ASA Jerusalem will play against H.Petah Tikva (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
