Undefeated leader Keflavik delivered the ninth consecutive victory on Wednesday night. This time they crushed 7th ranked Breidablik (2-7) 82-47. The game without a history. Keflavik led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Breidablik's 28. Keflavik forced 32 Breidablik turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Point guard Olof Oladottir (172-2001) stepped up and scored 12 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners and forward Anna Vignisdottir (178-2004) chipped in 17 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Four Keflavik players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Serbian-Hungarian swingman Sanja Orozovic (186-1990) with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 14 rebounds and the former international forward Rosa Petursdottir (175-1997) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the ninth consecutive win for Keflavik. They maintain first place with 9-0 record. Breidablik lost their third game in a row. They keep the seventh position with seven games lost. Keflavik will meet league's second-placed Haukar in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Breidablik will play against Grindavik (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
