Everything went according to plan when leader Alcobendas (5-0) defeated 9th ranked Estudiantes B (2-3) in Madrid 73-69 on Thursday. Alcobendas made 20-of-24 free shots (83.3 percent) during the game. It was an exceptional evening for forward Iago Ibanez (197-1996) who led the winners and scored 25 points and 7 rebounds. Jorge Tejera (200-1992) accounted for 18 points and 7 rebounds (made all of his ten free throws !!!) for the winning side. Argentinian-Italian forward Lucas Giovannetti (201-2005) came up with 17 points and Jaime Perez (200) added 13 points respectively for Estudiantes B in the defeat. Estudiantes B's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Alcobendas. They maintain first place with 5-0 record, which they share with Real Madrid 2. Loser Estudiantes B dropped to the seventh position with three games lost. They share it with 7 other teams.
