Regular Season Round 9: Rybnik - Wisla Krakow 111-61
Date: November 12, 2022
Not a big story in a game when bottom-ranked Wisla Krakow (0-10) was outplayed on the road by eighth ranked Rybnik (6-4) 111-61 on Saturday. Rybnik dominated down low during the game scoring 74 of its points in the paint compared to Wisla Krakow's 26. Rybnik forced 23 Wisla Krakow turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 33 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by Wisla Krakow's players. Maciej Krakowczyk (200-1996) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners and point guard Marcin Kosiorowski (181-2005) chipped in 16 points (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Five Rybnik players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Piotr Marcol (193-2000) with 20 points and 7 rebounds and guard Maciej Cichon (180-2006) scored 16 points. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Rybnik moved-up to sixth place, which they share with 4 other teams. Wisla Krakow lost their tenth game in a row. They still close the standings with ten games lost. Rybnik will meet MKS DG 2 (#13) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Wisla Krakow's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Krakow Korona.
