The game had a very big importance for second-ranked LBC Cocinas as it allowed them to take a leadership position. LBC Cocinas smashed 6th ranked Burgos Nissan in Logrono 86-63. LBC Cocinas dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Burgos Nissan's 26. LBC Cocinas forced 20 Burgos Nissan turnovers. At the losing side point guard Angel Infante (180-1998) responded with 21 points and Wellingthon Diaz (-2002) scored 13 points and 8 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. LBC Cocinas (6-0) have an impressive series of six victories in a row. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with La Leonesa and Llucmajor. Burgos Nissan lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the fifth place with three games lost. They share the position with 4 other teams. Burgos Nissan will play next round against Mondragon trying to get back on the winning streak. LBC Cocinas will try to continue on its current victory against third ranked Getxo on the road.
