Bottom-ranked Polonia managed to get a second victory, breaking the series of four consecutive losses on Saturday night. This time newly promoted Polonia won against sixteenth-ranked Polonia in Warszawa 85-75. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Polonia made 7 blocks. The best player for the winners was Patryk Pelka (202-1989) who had a double-double by scoring 23 points, 10 rebounds and 4 blocks. Guard Jan Piliszczuk (194-2000) chipped in a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds. Four Polonia players scored in double figures. Polonia's coach Andrzej Kierlewicz used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the other side the best for losing team was Michal Chrabota (196-1999) who recorded a double-double by scoring 28 points and 10 rebounds and Pawel Bogdanowicz (197-1987) added 13 points respectively. Polonia (2-7) moved-up to fifteenth place, which they share with Zgorzelec. Polonia lost their third game in a row. Polonia will meet at home higher ranked Enea Basket (#7) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Polonia will play against Turow (#16) in Zgorzelec and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
