Very predictable result in Jelenia Gora where fourth ranked J.Gora (5-2) defeated 10th ranked Widzew (2-5) 76-64 on Sunday. J.Gora looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was power forward Aleksandra Lorenz (186-1999) who had a double-double by scoring 12 points and 14 rebounds. The former international center Martyna Koc (193-1983) chipped in 17 points and 6 rebounds. Four J.Gora players scored in double figures. Guard Anna Kudelska (169-1998) produced 22 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and power forward Marta Piatek (190-1989) added 16 points and 10 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Newly promoted J.Gora maintains fourth position with 5-2 record, which they share with Olsztyn. Loser Widzew keeps the tenth place with five games lost. J.Gora will meet Katy Wrocl. (#5) in the next round. Widzew will play against Pol.Krakow (#6) and hope to secure a win.
