Regular Season Round 9: Energa W-wa - Lublin 120-71

Very expected game in Warszawa where 13th ranked Lublin (1-6) was rolled over by first ranked Energa W-wa (8-1) 120-71 on Sunday. Energa W-wa dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Lublin's 42. Energa W-wa forced 23 Lublin turnovers and outrebounded them 45-34 including 30 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Lublin's players. Guard Jakub Osinski (190-2005) stepped up and scored 23 points and 6 rebounds for the winners and Karol Debski (198-1984) chipped in 13 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists. Five Energa W-wa players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was guard Wiktor Siemianiuk (186-2004) with 25 points and power forward Mateusz Wisniewski (202-1991) scored 15 points. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Energa W-wa. They maintain first place with 8-1 record, which they share with Pruszkow and Tarnovia. Lublin lost their sixth game in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the thirteenth position with six games lost. Energa W-wa will meet Zyrardow (#5) on the road in the next round. Lublin will play against Ostrow Mazow. (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
