Everything went according to plan when seventh ranked Jesi (4-3) won against on the road 14th ranked Cesena (1-6) 82-74 on Sunday. Jesi shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 56.0 percentage. It was a great evening for Massimiliano Ferraro (198-1998) who led his team to a victory scoring 20 points and 7 rebounds. Guard Roberto Marulli (190-1991) helped adding 10 points and 7 assists. Five Jesi players scored in double figures. At the losing side power forward Isacco Lovisotto (206-1998) responded with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 13 rebounds and point guard Antonio Brighi (190-1996) scored 12 points and 5 rebounds. Jesi moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 10 other teams. Loser Cesena keeps the fourteenth position with six games lost. They share it with Trinita and Padova Unione. Jesi will meet at home Empoli (#16) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Cesena will play against Ozzano in Ozzano dell Emilia and hope to win that game.
