Regular Season Round 6: Tirana - Beselidhja 92-93
Date: November 13, 2022
Important game to mention about took place in Tirana. Fourth ranked Beselidhja (4-2) saved a 1-point victory on the road edging 3rd ranked Tirana (3-2) 93-92 on Sunday evening. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Tirana. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Beselidhja forced 20 Tirana turnovers. American forward Jordan Robinson (190, college: North Park) notched a double-double by scoring 46 points (!!!) and 10 rebounds to lead the effort and the other American import point guard Bryant Bernard (183, college: TWU, agency: Project B Sports) supported him with 17 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Even a double-double of 19 points, 20 rebounds and 4 assists by Julian Hamati did not help to save the game for Tirana. The former international center Endrit Hysenagolli (208-1988) added 15 points and 13 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Four Tirana players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Beselidhja keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Apolonia and Teuta. Tirana at the other side dropped to the fourth place with two games lost. Beselidhja will play against bottom-ranked Vllaznia (#6) in Shkodra in the next round where they are favorite. Tirana's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Tirana to the arena Kamza.
