Very predictable result when fifth ranked Vimpelin Veto (5-4) defeated on the road bottom-ranked Catz Lappeenranta (0-9) 72-62 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 4 points at the halftime before their 41-27 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Vimpelin Veto outrebounded Catz Lappeenranta 50-39 including a 18-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American guard Tynice Martin (180-1997, college: WVU) who scored 21 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals. Forward Ninni Salmi (185-1996, college: NIU) chipped in 9 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Raziyah Farrington (173-1997, college: Charleston) who recorded a double-double by scoring 24 points and 12 rebounds and the other American import center Terri Battle (188-1999, college: Tampa) added 10 points and 9 rebounds respectively.
